New Driving Laws
This is a summary from Georgia PTA Information
*Drivers of pickup trucks must wear their seatbelts (unless engaged in agricultural activities on their own property)
*Illegal to text while driving – including at stoplights and stop signs
*If under 18 or in possession of a Class D license it is illegal to use a cell phone at any time while driving unless it is for emergency purposes.
*Not wearing a seatbelt, texting, or using a cell phone if under 18 or in possession of a Class D license are all primary offenses meaning you can get pulled over for any of them without having done something else wrong first.
