ECCA January General Membership Meeting
Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at the East Cobb Government Center, 7 PM. Our January Speaker is Tim Lee, Cobb County Commission Chairman. Chairman Lee will be presenting his State of Cobb County address.
First Quarter Adopt-a-Mile
Saturday, January 21, 2012, from 9:00-11:00am at Woodlawn Publix parking lot near FedEx.. Show your community spirit by helping ECCA clean up Johnson Ferry Road. Community Service hours will be given. If it is raining, we will reschedule. For more information, call 678/524-4255.
District 3 Commissioner Birrell to host a Townhall MeetingThursday, February 16, 2012, from 7 PM to 8:30PM at Mountain View Community Center, 3400 Sandy Plains Rd. Marietta, 30066This townhall will feature Dana Johnson, Cobb County Planning Division Manger. Thackston Drive to Tally Green Dr
Periodic lane closures from 9 am to 4 pm. One lane will remain open at all times. Contractor grading, installing storm drainage, water main and sewer main. Various utility companies relocating services.
Glenverness Drive to Surrey Trail
Periodic lane closures at Glenverness Dr from 9 am to 4 pm. Gas Company performing tie-in work on gas main.
Donations being accepted for the K-9 Unit
The K-9 unit is a vital part of police department’s efforts to protect Cobb County. Police canines perform a broad range of essential functions, including patrol activities, narcotic detection and bomb detection. The police department is accepting donations to aid in the operation of the K-9 unit.
Funds will go directly to help replace retired canines and help pay veterinarian expenses and other costs associated with the dogs’ well-being. To donate or for more details visit Cobb Police
