Summertime is the season for encounters with dangerous venomous snakes. Our area is home to Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes, Pygmy Rattlesnakes, Copperheads and water mocassins. Last night a neighborhood child was bitten by a rattlesnake, and thanks to the quick thinking of other neighborhood children calling 911, the child quickly received medical care. Please review with your children when to call 911.
