Mabry Park Preview Day
Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 4495 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, Ga. 30066
The Friends of Mabry Park, along with Cobb County Parks and Recreation, will be hosting a Park Preview at Mabry Park. There will be walking tours of the park land, kid’s activities, and a K-9 demonstration! This beautiful park land is not yet accessible to the public except during special events like this. Don't miss this rare opportunity to come see this magnificent property for yourself!
Park your car at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 4495 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta GA 30066. From there, a shuttle will take you to the park land. Put on your hiking boots or athletic shoes, and come on out and enjoy a beautiful fall day at Mabry Park.

Electronics Recycling Day
Saturday, November 12th from 9 AM to 1PM, Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta
Residents will have the opportunity to dispose of unwanted electronics in an environmentally-friendly way when Keep Cobb Beautiful staff host Electronics Recycling Day. Many items will be accepted at no charge, including computers, microwaves, printers, cameras, telephones, CD players, cell phones and VCRs. Televisions will be accepted for a $10 fee each. Items not accepted include: projection televisions, refrigerators, washers and dryers, ovens and tires. For more information on what items will or will not be accepted, visit cobbcounty.org/kcb. In addition to electronics, volunteers at the location will accept new or gently-used shoes to benefit the charity Soles4Souls. Please tie or band them together in pairs. The charity distributes shoes donated from people and footwear companies free of charge to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class or any other criteria.
