Dear Friends,
I'm in need of several wonderful volunteers to help with a FUN event/fundraiser this Saturday, Oct 20th.
The event is called "Paw-casso". Funds raised go to train service & assistance dogs for disabled children in our community.
It's an art exhibition by, for and about children & animals. This is our 4th annual "Paw-casso", featuring artwork of animals by local elementary, middle, high school and college age students. This year's "Paw-casso" will be held on the grounds of the Broadway Diner, right here on Johnson's Ferry Rd. Last year we had over 1200 entries!!!!
1. Mounting of Drawings: We need a few wonderful parents and high school students to help us mount the children's artwork. We need volunteers to start at about 8am, this Saturday 10/20. Students who volunteer will recieve service hours. It's fun!
2. Transport, Set-up and Take Down: We also need help moving the panels (on which we will display all the children's art) to and from the Broadway Diner this Friday night, 10/19. Do you have a pick-up or larger truck (or know someone who does and could help out)? Panels are light weight. We'll start at 8 or 9pm and it shouldn't take very long.
3. Artists!!!!: If you know of any child who would like to draw a picture of an animal and enter the competition - please tell them about this wonderful event. It's FREE to enter and a fun experience to see their art on display, and it helps a fantastic cause. One entry per child. We're still accepting entries. Most entries come through art teachers, so please spread the word if you know any art teachers!
4. Come and Enjoy: This Saturday from 11am-5pm. All artwork is for sale $40 each 11am-1pm, then the price goes down to $20 each from 1pm-3pm and the bargains are yours for the donating at only $10 each from 3pm-5pm!
If you love animals - this is the group of volunteers you'll enjoy getting to know. Call me.
Fondest regards,
Marsha Brenner

Animals Deserve Better is a Georgia 501(c)3 charity. All donations are tax deductible.
I'm one of the judges each year and am always so impressed with the beautiful drawings, paintings and sculptures the children create. FUN too for the children to see their artwork on display!!!
