From Walton Foundation President---Important

Dear Walton Booster Club Leaders,
Thank you for your tremendous support of Walton High School. The Walton Facilities Foundation, Inc. wanted to share some additional information about SPLOST 4.
Here are a few important points:
-SPLOST 4 must pass to fund the planned improvements in the SPLOST 4 project list, including a total rebuild of Walton High School. The plans include a new multi-story academic building, a new fine arts building and a new competition gymnasium. Parking will be increased and traffic flow will be improved. For more information and to see a proposed site plan of the new facility, go to http://www.waltonhigh.org/
-SPLOST 4 is a continuation of the current 1% tax on retail purchases in Cobb County. This is not an additional or new tax. You will not see an increase in your sales tax.
- Visitors to our county (shopping, tourism, etc.) contribute to SPLOST collections. Even with the SPLOST tax, Cobb sales tax remains lower than most of our neighboring counties.
-Become informed and plan to vote on March 19 or vote early at the Government Service Center on Lower Roswell Rd from March 11-15. Information about voting options can be found at http://www.cobbelections.org/

Again- thank you for your ongoing support and interest in important matters such as this. Please forward this update to your members and we will continue to provide updates periodically.
