Cobb voters will decide whether to extend the current 1% sales tax (SPLOST-Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) to support capital improvement projects for schools throughout the county. The current one cent SPLOST tax expires on 12/31/2013. Please take the time to become educated about what the renewal of SPLOST will do for schools in our area. SPLOST will provide improvements for every student and every school, including Pope and Wheeler High Schools , Dodgen and Dickerson Middle Schools and new facilities for Walton High School and East Cobb Middle School .
What happens at Cobb schools has an impact on our children’s education, our community, our home values and our property taxes. Please become an informed voter.
