Walton PTSA, early voting starts March 11 at E. Cobb Government Center

Walton PTSA ask you to VOTE YES FOR SPLOST!
On March 19, Cobb voters will be asked to vote to renew the current 1% sales tax (SPLOST-Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) to support capital improvement projects for schools throughout the county.

-SPLOST 4 must pass to fund the planned improvements in the SPLOST 4 project list, including a total rebuild of Walton High School. The plans include a new multi-story academic building, a new fine arts building and a new competition gymnasium. Parking will be increased and traffic flow will be improved. For more information and to see a proposed site plan of the new facility, go to www.waltonhigh.org
-SPLOST 4 is a continuation of the current 1% tax on retail purchases in Cobb County. This is not an additional or new tax. You will not see an increase in your sales tax.
- Visitors to our county (shopping, tourism, etc.) contribute to SPLOST collections.
- Even with the SPLOST tax, Cobb sales tax remains lower than most of our neighboring counties.

Parking will be increased and traffic flow will be improved. Mobile classrooms will not be required with this plan. For more information and to see a proposed site plan of the new facility, go to www.waltonhigh.org

Please take the time to become educated about what the renewal of the SPLOST will provide for all of the schools in our area. What happens at Cobb schools has a direct impact on your child's education and an indirect impact on our community and home values. For more information about SPLOST 4 and the project list for all schools, go to www.cobbk12.org/splost
